v7.11.4Stable
Routine system updates
The server's operating system received its pending updates. The browser that powers WhatsApp sessions was deliberately left on its current version, because a large jump there can disconnect linked numbers; it will be upgraded on its own once it has been tested.
Highlights
- Pending operating system updates applied, no restart needed
- The browser behind WhatsApp sessions kept on its tested version on purpose
- No linked number was disconnected and nothing had to be rescanned
In this release1
- ImprovedSystem
Operating system updates applied, WhatsApp browser held back
Routine maintenance on the server's operating system.
What we changed:
- The pending system updates were installed. None of them needed a restart, so sending and the dashboard carried on throughout.
- The browser that runs each linked WhatsApp number was held on its current version. The available update is fifteen versions ahead, and a jump that size can break how WhatsApp Web loads, which would disconnect linked numbers.
- We will test the new browser version separately before rolling it out, so an update never costs anyone their linked number.
