v7.12.3Stable
Routine maintenance, 10 October
Our regular check of the server, nine days after the last one. Everything set up on 1 and 6 October is working as intended: the server has stayed up, logs are rotating, and the nightly database backup is uploading. We applied the pending system updates and cleared the browser cache of numbers that were offline.
Highlights
- Nine days up since the planned restart, with no memory problems
- The nightly database backup completed on each of the last three nights we checked
- Disk use is down to 24 GB from 57 GB at the start of the month
- Pending system updates applied, no restart needed
- Browser cache cleared for numbers that were offline, with no number logged out

Server health check
We went through the server the same way we did on 1 October and compared the two.
What we found:
- The server has been up for nine days since its planned restart.
- Processor use sits between 86 and 94 percent idle, and about 12 GB of the 16 GB of memory is free. The server never ran short of memory.
- Application logs and database logs are both rotating every day, as set up earlier this month.
- The nightly database backup completed and uploaded on each of the last three nights. The most recent one before this check was 9.9 MB, taken at 21:00 UTC on 9 October.
- The security certificate is valid until 29 December and renews automatically.
- Five failed attempts to log in to the server in nine days, none from the same address often enough to need blocking.
